Production and sourcing

DHIST’L is produced in Belgium. We have chosen for a production site putting the highest standards to quality and performance, and for short chain (so low CO2 emission) management by prioritizing local sourcing

At DHIST’L we are keen on developing formulas which are clean. Therefore, we do not make use of nasty stuff such as parabens, silicone, phenoxyethanol, sodium lauryl sulfate, artificial coloring, polyethylene glycol, petrochemical additives, diethanolamine, imidazolinidyl urea, mineral oils, nano- and micro-particles, etc…

As experienced increasingly by dermatologists, more and more people are showing allergenic reactions to the 26 substances listed in Annex III of the EU Cosmetic Regulation (such as linalool, limonene, benzyl alcohol, geraniol, etc). These are often used to add a fragrance to a cosmetic product in a natural way. As part of the product development at DHIST’L, we make a conscious choice not to add allergens appearing on that list.

At DHIST’L, we foster performance, without compromising on naturality or environment. Therefore, we choose not to add whitening substances, just to turn the product somewhat more white. In the DHIST’L Face Fluid, it is magnesium aluminum silicate, a naturally occurring clay, which is responsible for this appearance. The clay has a thickening function, so the fluid is fluid, still not too fluid
Well spotted – and yes, blue agave is the one used in the production of Tequila. Here it serves as a natural astringent to tighten pores, and diminishing fine lines and wrinkles.
